The Comedians Golfing Society

Once a month a group of men, mainly from the world of entertainment but also some very special men from other walks of life, come together for a game of golf. It is probably the only time we would get so many entertainers together to socialise and enjoy each other's company playing the great game. But while enjoying ourselves is important, we get as much enjoyment in raising funds for those not as fortunate as ourselves.

We play charity golf days with members of various golf clubs and provide a full cabaret show in the evening. The proceeds of these days go to our charity fund and not one member claims expenses to be there - we go because we believe in what we are doing.

A proportion of the money raised is spent on providing Trikes for children who suffer from Cerebral Palsy;these Trikes give the child mobility and freedom as well as helping to build the strength in their legs. We have also helped a young man who having been involved in a tragic accident, was left paralysed and unable to speak, we have spent over £5000 to purchase a computer equipped with special software and equipment that enables him to speak through his machine.

Since 1977 we have raised thousands upon thousands of pounds and presented many "Chucklechairs", "Chuckle Buses" and trips to the seaside and abroad, to make those less fortunate than us live more pleasant - this is all down to people like you supporting us, for this we thank you all.
